BASIC CAKE DECORATING CLASSES!!

All Cake & Icing Is Provided In This Class.

Learn how to make beautiful decorated cakes in this class.

HANDS ON!!!

  • You will learn how to make buttercream icing
  • You'll learn how to prep your cake for torting, leveling & filling.
  • We'll teach you how to ice your cake the proper way for that elegant smooth finish.
  • Learn how to use 3 diffferent piping bags and learn the uses of specialty piping tips.
  • Learn how to correctly position your piping bag to achieve a professional finish on your cake.
  • We'll teach you how to color your icing and how to strip your bags for a two tone effect. 
  • Learn how to make drop flowers, leaves, simple borders & basic flowers
  • simple designs for your cakes for all occasions
  • Learn how to make a rose, daisy, apple blossoms, sunflowers, plumerias and many more..
  • You'll learn how to make a figure piped bear.
  • Learn how to use piping gel for pattern transfers, water effects, or for a "shiny" finish. 
  • We'll show you a demo on how to use an airbrush.
  • In the final class you'll design a specialty cake.

BASIC CAKE DECORATING KIT IS NEEDED FOR THIS CLASS
AND IT CAN BE PURCHASED AT CAKE CREATIONS THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS.

CLASS SESSIONS run about 2- 1/2 Hours 

Starts at 5:30 pm.
Class sessions run about 2 1/2 hours for 4 consecutive weeks.

 INTERMEDIATE CAKE DECORATING COURSE

 ALL SUPPLIES ARE INCLUDED IN THIS CLASS

 GENERAL COURSE OUTLINE:

• You will learn how to make Boiled Icing & Royal Icing

  • You'll learn how to pipe buttercream and royal icing flowers at their absolute best!
  • Including orchids, plumerias, hibiscus, and more!
  • You will learn how to place them in an artistically correct arrangement.
    • You will learn two styles of figure piping—simple figure piping & 3-D cake cartooning
  • You will learn how to pipe beautiful leis on sheet cakes
    • You will learn how to mix primary colors to achieve the color you want
    • You will learn simplified rules of art in a style especially appropriate and made easy to grasp for cake decorating
    rules such as perspective and composition, etc.
    • You will learn how to use an air brush correctly—how to care for it and how to make stencils for use with it.
  • You will learn how to airbrush our signature asian and ocean theme cakes. 
    • You will learn top quality, practical border work.

  ADVANCED CAKE DECORATING COURSE 

GENERAL COURSE OUTLINE:

HANDS ON Techniques using Fondant
In this class you'll learn everything you ever wanted to know about fondant

  • Learn how to use pre-made rolled fondant to cover a cake.
  • Draping, Swags, Bows
  • Texturing & Coloring Techniques
  • Crimping,  Make a Fondant Rose
  • Rope Border
  • The use of lace molds & other molding techniques will be demonstrated
  • Learn how to use dusting powders and luster dust on your cakes.
  • Learn quick and easy side designs
  • Simple gumpaste sculpting
  • You will be completing 2 designer cakes in this class.
  • learn different ways of Supporting & Stacking tiered cakes 

Supplies Needed In Class:

3 lbs. Rolled Fondant*
1 lb. Gumpaste*

These items are sold seperately and is not included in your class fee.
These items can be purchased at Cake Creations before class.

 Mad Hatter Cake Design Course

 Learn the secret techniques of making this cake

  • We will teach you how to layout the design and to sketch this cake prior to designing it.
  • We will teach you step by step to sculpt this cake, cover it with rolled fondant icing
  • and design it with all the elements that make this cake a "wonky, topsy turvy mad matter cake!"

Prerequisites: Must have taken the intermediate and the advance course at Cake Creations.

Advanced Gumpaste Flowers

In this class you will learn how to make realistic gumpaste flowers.

Plumerias, Roses, Calla Lily, Gerbera Daisy, Peony,

Cherry Blossoms, Water Lily with Pod, Orchid, Stephanotis, Bamboos,

 Learn how to put flowers on stems and put together a spray of flowers.

of Yummy Cake Delights.

Learn how to make a handbag & high heel shoes for cake toppers
In this course you'll learn how to mold mini gumpaste shoes and handbags.
You'll cover a cake in Rolled Fondant and learn how to design it.

(non-refundable within 5 days prior to class)

 balance of $100.00  is due the first day of class

Tuition is non-refundable after this time sorry, no exceptions.  

The number of fully paid students 30 days prior to class will be used to determine if class will be held.

(Should class be cancelled because of too few students, the students will receive a full refund.)
